Macon Street Commissioner Suspended

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) Macon City leaders suspend Street Commissioner Willie Dixon Junior for 45 days without pay.

Macon Police got a tip that several items had been stolen from the city barn.

They think an inmate from the Noxubee Community work center took the merchandise.

That inmate reportedly worked with the Macon Street Department crew.

Dixon is also represents Ward Four on the Board of Alderman.

He will continue to serve on the Board.
