Maben Man Charged With Stabbing Pregnant Woman

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Maben man is in jail after a domestic dispute turns violent.

John Jones, 30, is in custody at Oktibbeha County Jail after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend’s pregnant sister, early Sunday morning at a home on Maben-School House Road. WCBI is told Jones and his girlfriend had gotten into an altercation. When the girlfriend’s sister tried to break it up, she was stabbed in the process.

The sister was airlifted to University Medical Center in Jackson and is listed in stable condition. Jones is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators say more charges are expected.
