Lynn Fitch talks about running for AG’s Office
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The only woman in a statewide elected office is in the running for a new job, and she’s asking for the support of other women.
State Treasurer Lynn Fitch is running for Attorney General.
Tuesday, she was making her case to The Lowndes County Republican Women. This club works actively to influence voters around the area.
Fitch says she’s qualified for the position and has more experience in law, finance, and administration than most candidates.
“Certainly there have been very few women in Mississippi and four in 200 years to serve as statewide electives officials. It’s such an honor and it’s such a privilege, so my goal is to continue to be a trailblazer be a pathway for young women to get into political office,” said Fitch.
Fitch has been a practicing lawyer for 34 years.
