Lowndes Inmate Identified

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The inmate that died over the holiday weekend at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center has been identified.

Lowndes County Corner Greg Merchant says an autopsy will be performed Tuesday on 45 year old Carl Dooley of Brooksville.

Dooley was found unresponsive this past Saturday.

Merchant says it doesn’t appear foul play is involved.

Dooley’s death remains under investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
