Video: Update: Subject of Lowndes County Manhunt in Custody
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – After leading U.S. Marshals and Lowndes County deputies on a daylong manhunt Tuesday, a Columbus man turns himself in to law enforcement.
Bobby Knight was wanted by Columbus Police for assault on a law enforcement officer and escape. The Fugitive Task Force attempted to capture Knight at a mobile home on Military Road near Television Road, but he escaped through a hole in the floor.
Marshals and deputies searched the railroad tracks behind where Knight was supposedly staying.
Knight turned himself in to Sheriff’s Deputies late Tuesday afternoon.
