Lowndes County man in double trouble

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man finds himself in double trouble with a stolen ATV and pawning a rifle.

John Lawrance Baker,33, is charged with Grand Larceny and Felon in Possession of a Weapon.

Lowndes County investigators said an ATV was taken from a home on Honnell Mill Road back on December 1 and deputies believed Baker took the four-wheeler.

In an unrelated incident, Baker is accused of pawning a rifle at a Columbus pawn shop.

He is a convicted felon and not allowed to have a gun.

Baker’s bond has not been set.
