Lowndes County Juvenile Detention Center employee arrested

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County Juvenile Detention Center employee is arrested on a misdemeanor meth charge.

Jason Pruitt, 36, is charged with possession of Methamphetamine, less than a gram and no headlights.

Both charges are misdemeanors.

Lowndes County Chief Deputy Marc Miley says Pruitt was pulled over at 5th Street and 2nd Avenue on Tuesday night for driving with no headlights.

A search of the vehicle turned up the meth.

Pruitt has bonded out of jail.
