Lowndes Co. Man Jailed For Stealing Incarcerated Woman’s Vehicle

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Deputies say a Lowndes County man stole an incarcerated woman’s vehicle.

27-year-old James Ray Conn is charged with felony taking of a motor vehicle.

Investigators say a woman overseeing the victim’s property went to the jail to ask if anyone should have the unidentified victim’s vehicle.

She said no, and deputies were alerted.

Conn was arrested at Steen Superette. He had been driving the vehicle.

He was also charged with having a suspended driver’s license.

A bond has not been set for Conn.
