Lowndes Boating Accident Victim Identified

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Investigators release the name of the man killed in a Lowndes County boating accident.

Coroner Greg Merchant says 44 year-old Marc Tomlinson of Columbus died as a result of fresh water drowning.

Tomlinson’s body was found Sunday evening on the Tenn-Tom River.

It appears the man’s boat capsized near August Landing on Sunday afternoon.

There was also a survivor.

Conservation officers are investigating the incident.
