Longtime Blue Team member honored at Tupelo Elvis Festival

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A longtime member of the Blue Team who passed away recently was honored in a special way.

Carr Sams was a fixture on the Blue Team at Elvis Festivals through the years.  The Northeast Mississippi businessman suffered a fatal heart attack in April.

Blue Team members this year wore blue bracelets that said “Carr Sams” and “Blue Team Forever.”

“Carr was a hard worker and a lovable guy, we all thought a lot of Carr and we miss him,  he would have been here,” said Blue Team member Diane Powell.
