Local Churches Form Alliance To Help Hurricane Victims

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Local pastors are joining forces to help those impacted by recent hurricanes.

The “Tupelo Houston Florida Alliance” was formed in the aftermath of hurricanes that hit Houston and parts of Florida.

Monetary donations, along with items such as bottled water, baby formula, diapers and toys can be dropped off at “Kingdom Broadcasting ” located at 402 North Spring Street in Tupelo.

Organizers say this is a simple way for everyone to do something to help out.

“Out of everything else going on in the nation, and in the world, love of people is always shown, most of the time through disasters and through things of this nature, so there are some good people in the world and we want to always remember that good triumphs over evil,” said Pastor Clarence Parks, who is helping organize the Alliance.

The donations will be taken to those affected by hurricanes in the next few weeks. Pastor Parks says they will work with Eight Days of Hope to make sure the supplies get to those who need them most.
