Video: Lincoln Collection Donated to MSU

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Rhode Island couple donates their private Abraham Lincoln and Civil War collection to Mississippi State University.

Former Rhode Island Chief Justice Frank Williams has been collecting the memorabilia for more than fifty years.

The collection is considered the nation’s largest privately owned holding of Lincoln research.

It includes original, signed documents, books, photographs, and artwork.

Williams and his wife, Virginia, hope the gift to Mississippi State will serve as a learning tool for students and the public.
