Lee County Republican Women’s Club Holds Organizational Meeting

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The inaugural meeting for a Republican Women’s Club in Lee County is held Tuesday evening.

An organizational meeting was held for the Lee County Republican Women’s Club.

The meeting at Barbecue By Jim’s gave members the opportunity to elect officers and find out about other Republican Women’ clubs across the state.

Republican Women’s clubs are active in counties across the state, during election cycles and throughout the year, supporting a variety of civic and charitable activities.

“They do a lot of service projects too, they work with the American Legion, they help get people elected, very involved in the election process , they work with the VFW, I know a group of Republican women from Pontotoc County and Union County next Monday night are going to the Veteran’s home in Oxford to visit with them and have a little party with them,” said Nancy Frohn, with the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women.

Republican Women Clubs have just been chartered in Pontotoc and Choctaw Counties.

The clubs meet every month.
