Lee County Jailer Assaulted By Inmate

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lee County Detention Center Inmate is facing more charges after assaulting a guard.

On Monday, October 2, Lee County Deputies charged Corey Carroll with Breaking and Entering after he allegedly held two women and a child against their will in their home.

This same suspect, assaulted a detention officer earlier today, October 4.

According to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson, the officer is currently having x-ray’s done to determine if any bones were broken.

Carroll is now facing five felony charges.
