Lee Co. Residents Remember Longtime Educator
LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Lee County residents are remembering a longtime educator who recently passed away.
70-year-old Lynn Lindsey died Friday at a Tupelo hospital after a sudden illness.
He was known as “Coach” to many in the area – coaching football, girls’ basketball and track at Shannon High School.
Lindsey spent more than 30 years as an educator in Lee County – 30 of them at Shannon, and four years as Lee County superintendent of education before retiring in 1999.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brewer United Methodist Church.
