LCBS honors young girl for heroic actions in emergency car incident
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County Board of Supervisors honored a little girl for her bravery and quick thinking that likely saved her mother’s life.
Six-year-old Bryanna Cook called 911 on October 23 after the car she was in with her mother ran off the road and crashed into the woods.
Lowndes County Dispatcher LaTonya Malone remained on the phone with Bryanna Cook for more than two hours until law enforcement found them just before 7 p.m. that night.
Cook’s mother was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Supervisors honored Cook with a proclamation, special gifts, and a well-deserved round of applause.
