Law Enforcement responds to a standoff in Itawamba County

GOLDEN, Miss. (WCBI)- The Itawamba County Sheriff’s office along with MHP SWAT are involved in a standoff on Alice Hall Rd.

According to Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson, one man is armed and is holding two other people hostage.

One of the hostages is a 10-year-old girl.

It is unclear if both men are armed.

Sheriff Dickinson says they are in communication with the girl and she is okay at this time.

Law enforcement is waiting for more SWAT teams to arrive.
