Lamar County Probate Judge Appointed

LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – Alabama Governor Kay Ivey appoints a new Lamar County Probate Judge.

Dale McGee was given the position late Monday afternoon.

The seat had been vacant since January 31st.

Ivey had to make the appointment.

Probate court cases, such as estates and adoptions, could not proceed while the office was vacant.

An election will be held at a later date.
