Lamar County man found guilty of child sex crime

LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – A Lamar County man was found guilty of a child sex crime.

Jurors returned the verdict against John Mark Sullivan Thursday.

He was found guilty of Sexual Abuse of a Child, Less than 12 Years of Age.

The investigation started in early 2016 after Millport police received a report. Department of Human Resources officials was also involved in the case.

Sullivan will be sentenced in June.
