Lafayette County Death Under Investigation

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) – Lafayette County authorities say a homicide investigation is underway into the shooting death of a 24-year-old man.

County Investigator Jarrett Fondren says the body of Jonathan Malone was found Saturday in his car along a county road.

Fondren says Malone died of a gunshot wound.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the murder with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
