Labor Day Tishomingo County Drug Arrests

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE)- On September 4, 2017, the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office was conducting a “Safety Check-Point” in the area of HWY 4 and CR 1.

A vehicle approached the deputies and after speaking with both the driver and passenger, the deputies noticed that both occupants were acting extremely nervous.  The driver of the vehicle gave the deputies consent to search the vehicle.

The search yielded some alleged cocaine and hydrocodone both in the vehicle and on both the occupants.  Both the driver and the passenger were then arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

Ciji Palmer Nelson, 33-year-old, white female of 695 Waddle Road Fulton, Mississippi was officially charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (cocaine) and Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone). Ciji Nelson remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set. Nelson is also currently on MDOC probation for felony drug charges.

John Nelson, 37-year-old, white male also of 695 Waddle Road Fulton, Mississippi was officially charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (cocaine) and Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone). John Nelson remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.

Also on September 4, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, for Reckless Driving, around the HWY 30 and HWY 25 area of Tishomingo County.  The deputy noticed that the driver appeared to be under the influence of some type of controlled substance and was then placed under arrest.  During the search-incident-to-arrest, some alleged methamphetamine was found in the seat of the vehicle.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

Kyle Marcus Eaton, 31-year-old, white male, of 120 CR 503 Guntown, Mississippi was officially charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Eaton remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
