Labor Day Holilday Weekend

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Many folks are taking advantage of the extended holiday weekend.

Whether you’re choosing to travel to see friends and family or stay at home grilling the weekend away, theres always plenty to do.
Some are keeping campsites in our area busy.

For some it’s a family tradition. Lake Lowndes State Park is a popular traveling spot and one family is spending its holiday weekend in the great outdoors.

“We have a great time every year..we just go fishing and watch the pretty waters and just have a good time and spend time with family and I’m up here with my grandparents and juts have a good time,” says camper Cheyanne Browning.

With gas prices still up, some locals have just decided to spend the weekend close to home.
