Kennedy, AL Mayor Passes Away

KENNEDY, Ala. (WCBI) – Funeral services are Monday for a west Alabama mayor.

Kennedy Mayor Rose McDaniel died this past Friday.

The 65 year-old was the first woman to elected to the position in the small Lamar County town in August of last year.

She previously served on the town council.

Funeral services will be at 4 PM at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Fayette, AL on Monday.

Visitation is from 3 – 4 PM.
