Jury Selection Starts For Armed Robbery & Kidnapping Trial

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Jury selection begins in an armed robbery and kidnapping trial in Lowndes County.

Autravious Gaston is also charged with Grand Larceny, Sexual Battery and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.

He was arrested in February 2015.

Columbus police say he robbed a convenience store on Military Road, then took a clerk hostage.

The employee was found at a West Point business.

Gaston was later found at an apartment complex.

Opening arguments are expected to begin tomorrow, February 14, in the Lowndes County Circuit Court.
