Investigators search for details on gun used in Eupora shooting

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information about the gun used in a shooting near Eupora High School.

Investigators want information or location of the 9mm handgun used during the March 28 incident.

Prosecutors allege Cole Breazeale fired six shots behind a school building, while on a red dirt bike.

Empty shell casings were found on the scene.

Court documents say Breazeale told investigators he tossed the gun into a creek.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Officer, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the FBI are offering the reward.

Breazeale is facing federal charges of Possession an Unregistered Weapon, Discharging and Possessing a Firearm in a School Zone and Possessing a Firearm as a Current Drug User.

In a criminal complaint, Breazeale admitted using drugs.

He will remain in jail until his trial.
