Investigators close in on suspected theft ring

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Tishomingo County deputies got a break in a case of three stolen vehicles.

An Alcorn County man was behind bars accused of theft and burglary.

Nathan Mills, 25, was charged with two counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Taking a Motor Vehicle, and Burglary of a Commercial Building.

In three weeks, Tishomingo County deputies said they’ve investigated the thefts of three vehicles. The incidents happened at Scruggs Boat Ramp, Captains Choice, and Tri-State Industrial Park.

Mills was arrested after investigators said he led police on a high-speed chase from Hardin County, Tennessee through Tishomingo County.

Some of the stolen property recovered included an air compressor, battery charger and quite a bit of jewelry.

Deputies also said all three stolen vehicles have been found.

Mills is currently behind held in the Alcorn County Jail.

More arrests are expected in the case.
