Inmate Escapes in Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi authorities are still looking for an inmate that escaped from the Jefferson County Community Work Center on Friday, May 25th.
The Department of Corrections says 32-year-old Melvin Toney left the facility in Fayette around six in the morning. He was last seen wearing prison-issue green and white striped pants and a white shirt with “MDOC Convict” printed on the back.
Toney is a black male, 5 feet 11, 280 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was serving a seven-and-a-half year sentence for cocaine possession.
