Information session held for FEMA disaster reimbursement

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency prepared Lowndes County on how to receive disaster reimbursement.

An information session was held at the EMA office Wednesday morning.

City and county governments, along with utilities and some non-profits, were eligible for some reimbursement from FEMA.

Lowndes County was declared a federal disaster area late last month, after the February tornado and flooding.

Part of the declaration required the information session for the agencies.
