Indians’ Shumpert signs with Hinds CC

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) — Itawamba AHS defensive lineman QJ Shumpert signed to continue his football career at Hinds Community College.

Shumpert was the anchor of the D-Line on one of the best Indians teams in school history.

This past season, Shumpert recorded 38 total tackles, and five forced fumbles.

To Shumpert, the bulldogs were a perfect fit.

“A great school, man. I fell in love with the school when I went down there for a visit, everything I wanted they offered. it’s a four-man front, I get a lot of one on one activity, I can’t be blocked one on one,” said Shumpert.

QJ becomes the latest Shumpert to take their talents to college football. Relatives Jamal plays for ICC and Ashton is a former Mississippi State Bulldog
