Incident Involving Starkville P.D. Officer Turned over to District Attorney
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A case involving a Starkville police officer’s car striking a pedestrian will be given to the district attorney’s office to investigate.
The Board of Aldermen voted Tuesday in executive session to give the case to District Attorney Scott Colom to determine if a crime was committed when officer William Thrasher’s vehicle struck a man. After the incident, Thrasher was suspended.
Alderwoman Lisa Wynn made the motion to allow the D-A’s office to investigate. The motion carried on a 3 to 2 vote.
Sources tell WCBI there is dash cam video of the incident.
