Identity Of Man Killed In Weekend Fire Released

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – Pontotoc firefighters release the name of a man killed in a weekend fire.

57-year-old Bruce Hunter died at the scene on Hud Street on Saturday afternoon.

Fire Chief Lance Martin says it the blaze remains under investigation. However, it appears a cigarette may have started the fire.

Flames were contained to the living room area.

Hunter was staying at the apartment with his friend, 55-year-old Thomas Foreman.

At last check, Foreman was in the Med in Memphis listed in serious condition.
