ICC’s Howard Named MACJC Soccer Player of the Week
FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – Itawamba Community College sophomore midfielder Dylan Howard was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Soccer Player of the Week for his performance last week against Jones County Junior College and Meridian Community College.
Howard combined to score 2 goals and dish out 2 assists for a total of 6 points to help the Indians remain the only unbeaten men’s soccer team in the MACJC.
The Starkville native is the second member of the ICC men’s soccer program to earn MACJC Player of the Week honors. Keeper Ben Schaefer (Tupelo) was named MACJC and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Keeper of the Week for the first week of the season.
After their record-breaking 11-0 win over Southwest Mississippi Community College, the Indians (4-0, 0-0 MACJC North) will open division play Friday against Northwest Mississippi Community College in Fulton on Friday. The Lady Indians will kick things off at 2:00 p.m. and the Indians will follow at 4:00 p.m.
