Video: I.C.C. Receives Wellness Grant

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s a lot of money to help ICC and the surrounding community live healthier lives.

Itawamba Community College received a $355,000 check to fund ICC WellFit 365.

The grant is from the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation for health and wellness programs for the college and the community.

ICC will use the money to continue promoting a healthier student body, faculty and community.

“We just want to educate them on what is the good practice and give them some better choices of how to live healthier and therefore they make better decisions throughout their lives. That’s our goal,” said ICC Health , Physical Ed and Rec Director Dana Hale.

WellFIT 365 will provide new cardio equipment including spin bikes, a nine-week health and nutrition program each semester and a youth summer health and wellness camp.
