HOULKA, Miss. (WCBI) — As new a program as any in north Mississippi, the Houlka Wildcats continue to try and build a winner as in the Independent class.
The Wildcats had a tough 2016, finishing with a record of 0-7.
Heading into the tenth season in school history, the Wildcats only graduated five seniors from a year ago, and will look to build with young talent in 2017.
Head coach Sid Burt said turnout has been low this summer, but the county decided back in May to keep the football program alive in Houlka.
