STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – This week is homecoming and as the Bulldog football team continues to win, students can hardly contain their excitement.
MSU is celebrating homecoming all week long and Saturday evening’s showdown with Middle Tennessee State University is on everybody’s mind.
“This will actually be my 3rd homecoming and I am expecting a big win from our Bulldogs,” says MSU student Samira Allston.
MSU student Marley Gill is looking forward to the pre-game activities.
“I can’t wait to see the four Delta Gamma maids walking down the field and I can’t wait to see all the other girls. I know they’re going to be so pretty. The game’s going to be great and all the fun activities that are coming this week. Can’t wait!”
That’s the level of anticipation on the MSU campus. Activities started on Sunday with a chapel service. A parade and several other activities are set for Friday. Coordinator of Programs at the Student Activities Center says many student groups are getting in on the fun.
“We’re excited to have some homecoming banners that’ll be up on the southwest corner of the stadium which a lot of student organizations have put a lot of time into. Again with the parade, there should be some really great floats and think everyone’s really excited for the activities this weekend.
MSU will also host a chili cook-off, pep rally and step-show this Friday night. Saturday’s game kicks off at 6pm.
