Holiday weekend checkpoint leads to drug arrest in Prentiss County

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A holiday weekend checkpoint led to a drug arrest in Prentiss County.

Prentiss County deputies manning a safety checkpoint near Wheeler stopped Skylar Zel Jon Branda of Booneville.

Upon further investigation, they arrested Branda for possession of a controlled substance.

A judge set his bond at $5,000 dollars.

The North Mississippi Narcotics Unit will present his case to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
