Holiday hustle: Shoppers keep stores packed on Black Friday

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It may not have been the mad rush of years past, but stores and parking lots across the viewing area were packed.

And those who went out and faced the crowds were able to get some good deals while crossing items off of their Christmas lists.

Many stores opened early and offered deep discounts to get shoppers in the doors.

Area retailers were reporting a steady stream of customers coming through the checkout lines.

By the way, it is exactly one month until Christmas Eve, so you may want to get that shopping list out.
