COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Christmas is here and many of us are scrambling to find that perfect gift for loved ones. It’s a multi-billion dollar season for retailers, which means if you can think it, it’s probably out there to be purchased. For Dads this year it’s all about tools and for a look at which tools to get we turn to the experts.
According to Nathan Chilcut with New Home Building, “To often Dads get ties and socks. Dad really wants tools for Christmas. And the simple tools are better. Things they’ll use all day every day and all year, things like straps.
Other items include hammers, saws of all kinds as well as measuring tapes and vice-grips. Perhaps the most important tool is the screw driver.
Chilcut says, “This is one of the items that every Dad really needs and Moms too. This is a screw driver that keeps 16 different bits like phillips head, flat head, different torque heads. It’s simple it’s quick and it’s one item you may need at a moments notice. Less than 20 dollars and not a bad item to have.”
The main thing to remember when shopping for tools is your price limit and Dads interests.
Chilcut says, “A lot of it depends on what type of work your Dad likes to do. If he’s a wood worker, pneumatic tools are always a good idea, from finished guns, to framing guns and airless items.”
And if your father works on automobiles there are tools for that. What ever it may be shop for Dad like you would want to be shopped for.
