Hit And Run Investigation

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department is offering a reward for anyone with information on a hit and run case.

Eddie James Perry, who is in his late 60’s, was hit by a car around 5 last Friday morning, October 6, on Highway 145.

Sheriff Terry Grassaree says Perry was walking in the northbound lane, when a vehicle hit him from behind, and threw him into the ditch off the road.

Perry crawled out from the ditch and another passing motorist saw him laying on the side of the road and called 911.

He remains at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus recovering from injuries.

The sheriff’s department is still looking for the car that left the scene of this accident.

Charges will be filed against the person or persons involved in this case.
