West Point, Miss. (WCBI) – West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley has been covering the city even short handed. Now he’s getting some help.

Select men have approved the hiring of four new officers for the department. The new hires are a mix of experienced officers and newcomers. That leaves the department one officer short of the 32 positions it has budgeted.

They all should be on board by the end of next month.
