Heat and Humidity Not Going Anywhere.

TODAY: Highs in the low 90s with heat index values in the upper 90s and low 100s. Chance for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Widespread severe weather is not anticipated, but one or two intense thunderstorms cannot be ruled out. Chance of rain around 40%.

TONIGHT: A lingering shower or storm possible overnight, but mainly dry. Warm and muggy, with lows in the low to mid 70s.

FRIDAY-WEDNESDAY: This summertime pattern continues, with the chance for at least a few pop up showers and storms each day. Some of the more recent model runs indicate that we may be a bit drier at the start of next week, but with the humidity we have in place, the potential for a few pop up storms will remain in the forecast for the foreseeable future. High temperatures will remain in the low 90s, with heat index values in the upper 90s and low 100s.
