Heading into much warmer conditions

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Winter -like temperatures will be returning to fall gradually over the next several days. Temperatures are going to be warming a few degrees everyday, eventually reaching back into the lower 80s.

TODAY: Warmer! High temperatures will be in the low to middle 70s. There will be plenty of sun. Conditions should feel amazing for anyone heading to college games during the afternoon. Any evening games may get cool, with overnight lows falling into the middle 40s.

TONIGHT: A cold Saturday night! Heading into the overnight hours, temperatures will quickly begin to cool off with overnight lows dropping into the low to mid 40s. If you plan to go to the football game tonight, be sure to bring a jacket or a blanket because it will be pretty chilly towards the end of the game. Other than cold temperatures, tonight looks to be mostly clear and calm.

SUNDAY: Continuing to warm. A few more degrees warmer will have the high temperatures reaching into the middle 70s. Conditions looking and feeling great, with lots of sun and a blue sky. There is a chance for a few passing clouds. Low temperatures gradually getting warmer too, expected to be in the upper 40s.

NEXT WEEK: Warming trend continues, with high temperatures reaching into the upper 70s and lower 80s the first half of the week. Cloud coverage looks to fill in the middle of the week, ahead of the next approaching front. Low temperatures become much more mild and tolerable.
