Video: Head Start Students Celebrate Literacy

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Storybook characters came to life Thursday at a Columbus head start Center.

Preschoolers at Coleman Head Start participated in a storybook parade.

The children dressed as their favorite character or carried a poster depicting their favorite book.

Parents and other family members were invited to watch the parade.

Teachers say this is a fun way to promote literacy.
