Hamilton Man Charged with Forgery

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-A Hamilton man was allegedly able to forge nine checks in the name of a local business owner before getting caught.

42 year-old Tyrone Griffin was arrested Monday by Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and charged with nine counts of Forgery.

Authorities allege that Griffin stole the checks from a local business owner in Monroe County and then began forging and cashing them at several local businesses.

His bond is set for later.
