Hamilton Church Destroyed In Fire

HAMILTON, Ala. (AP) – A Hamilton church has been destroyed by a fire.

Hamilton Fire Chief Tim Rye tells local media that the fire at Hamilton Free Will Baptist Church started around 1 a.m. on Monday.

He says the church is a total loss, with the most damage in the sanctuary and Sunday school rooms.

No injuries were reported.

Rye says authorities are investigating how and when the fire began. The State Fire Marshal has been called to assist.
