Guilty Plea Reached In Child Sex Case

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man pleads guilty to a child sex crime and will wait to be sentenced.

Kenneth Scott Franks pleaded guilty to Exploitation of a Child in Lowndes County Circuit Court.

In a grand jury indictment, prosecutors claim Franks received a photograph of a child engaging in sexual activity.

A trial was set for this week before Franks made the plea.

He will be sentenced May 8.
