Gradually warming back up

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Conditions are gradually going to be getting warmer a little bit more everyday. The weekend should have temps in the middle 70s, while early next week sees potential 80s.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Cold again for one more night. The continued clear sky will allow the temperatures to quickly fall. Temperatures will be dropping again to right around freezing. Though there is not a freeze warning in place, remember if you are cold so are your pets. Bring them inside.

FRIDAY: Warming up a few more degrees. High temperatures for the end of the week will be mild, in the middle to upper 60s. While there is good news during the day, temperatures will be chilly once the sun sets. Any high school football fans should plan to bundle up and maybe grab a hot cocoa at halftime! Temperatures will fall into the lower 40s overnight.

WEEKEND: Continuing the warming trend. High temperatures will be in the middle 70s, a bit more tolerable with the sun. Should feel really nice for any of our local SEC football games that occur in the afternoon Saturday. Low temperatures will still be a bit chilly, ranging from the middle 40s to the lower 50s.
