Governor Tate Reeves announces inauguration plans, events
JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Governor Tate Reeves announced his inauguration ceremony plans and events surrounding it.
A prayer service will be held on Sunday, January 7 on the lawn of the Governor’s Mansion.
The following Tuesday, on January 9, the inauguration ceremony will be held at the state capitol.
A few hours later there will be a parade through downtown Jackson.
An open house will be held at the Governor’s Mansion that day and later in the evening there will be an inaugural ball.
This year’s theme is “Mississippi’s Time.”
Tickets are required for most events.
