Video: Gibbs Withdraws Resignation

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – One day after resigning from the Mississippi House of Reprentatives, David Gibbs of West Point is withdrawing the resignation.

Gibbs resigned from his District 36 seat Tuesday, citing health concerns.

Representative Gary Chism tells WCBI Gibbs announced Wednesday that he wants to withdraw the resignation. But it may not be a simple process.

Chism says house members are seeking legal opinions.

Gibbs reprsents portions of Clay, Lowndes and Monroe counties.
