Garth Dynasty Continues Aberdeen City Politics

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) -Voters in Aberdeen headed to the polls Tuesday to decide who will fill the remainder of Lady Garth’s term on the Board of Aldermen.

Garth, who represented Ward 2, resigned from the Board in June.

Cloyd Garth, Jr. and  Doug Stone received the most votes in the special election, leading to Tuesday’s run-off.

Garth, Jr. edged out Stone by about 11 votes: 198 – 187.
